  • James Bibby has written a couple of novels of humourous fantasy. The first novel "Ronan the Barbarian" (1995) was followed by "Ronan's Rescue" (1996).
As the names gives a hint of, these are a slightly parody of the Conan character. Ronan is fresh out of warrior school, with dread-locks and an attitude, and now he is determined to revenge the death of his father. This means finding the bad guy Nekros. On his quest he bumps into some persons that will join him, Tyson the female warrior, Tarl the drunken magician, and Puss, The Donkey from Hell. The book is full of puns, try reading names out loud and you'll see what I mean.
James Bibby has written script for many TV comedy shows, including "Not the Nine O'Clock News", "Three of a Kind", "OTT" and "The Lenny Henry Show".
Unfortunatly there havn't been any more humorous fantasy-novels that I know of than the Ronan ones.
