When I was younger I enjoyed reading Nick Carter-novels. It's a bit like the James Bond character, you know what you get, and you know that everything will turn out all right in the end. The same feeling strikes me with Batman and the Catwoman. I have enjoyed Robert Asprin's Myth-series, and this is the first novel of his that I've read that isn't about Skeeve and Aahz. Written together with his wife, Lynn Abbey, Catwoman is most highly readable. Batman is trying to get to the notorious criminal "The Connection", a man that has been active for many years but of little is known. Catwoman bumps into a suspicious man that has decorated a whole room with all kinds of stuffed cats, that alone makes him a primary target for her. When they both sets out for their preys, their paths are doomed to intervene with each other. They both fight criminals, although since they have different views on what the proper way is to fight them, they cannot stand the other. The novel will help you pass time, although I wouldn't say it is that special in any way. If you like the Batman character you will like this crime novel.

Natural Born Killers. If you've seen that movie you will surely see many similarities with this novel. Bruce Delamitri is an academy-nominee for best director. His movies are filled with violence and many critics are saying that they influence people to commit crimes. Through America two murders are travelling in their genuine American car, and kills just about everyone that gets in their way. Naturally people connects these murderers behaviour with Delamitri's movies. Little does Bruce now that within 24 hrs after he has received his award they will have a deep impact on his life. Or to be more accurate; his life, his ex-wife's life, his agents life, his daughters life, his date-for-the-night life and a couple of other lifes that are more or less uninteresting. They are all taken hostage by the maniacs that has got some unusual demands.
With a mix of Natural Born Killers, Tarantino and some very black humour, Ben Elton has managed to write a very amusing and very violent novel. Ben Elton is mostly known for his scripts for the British tv-series Black Adder and The Young Ones. His book Blast From the Past is currently on the bestseller-lists.
